It all took off in March 2020 when we all went into lockdown and I was planning to use my time productively, in between gardening, house painting, shopping and the usual jobs around the house. I slowly developed the layout and spent time making up model buildings and bridges from either new purchases, or wherever possible from stock used on previous layouts.
I soon had a stock of buildings and despite having to make a few changes I have been able to use the old layout without making many changes to the actual track. I made notes as I went along and photographed many of the processes.
It was only a couple of weeks ago that one club member suggested that I should put out a series of “How to do it! Papers (or rather how I do it – as there are many ways of achieving the end result). I have now been gathering the information I have and as I start the final assembly of the layout I will “publish” various bits to members and for inclusion on the website over the next couple of months.
So this is just an introduction as to what I am planning until lockdown comes to an end.
